The German City of Karlsruhe celebrates its 300th anniversary in 2015 with a 15-week summer festival. On this special occasion the program series of Castle Lights ("Schlosslichtspiele") framed the celebration with the Grand Opening Show of “300 fragments” designed by Maxin10sity. Karlsruhe’s iconic city symbol in central location has become the mapping surface which has turned into a real spectator magnet every evening for 3 months alongside with other artists’ work. The “300 fragments” escort the viewers during a journey throughout Karlsruhe’s past, present and future in place and time, from the initial dream phase of the city’s legendary birth to tomorrow’s abstract futuristic vision. The spectacular visuals and the overpowering sound composition turn the transition into a perfect projection adventure.
